Starting a notebook in public
Why I'm writing here, and what I intend to put in it.

I keep learning things and then forgetting them. Not the big things — the small ones. The reason a design that looked obvious on a whiteboard fell apart in week three. The failure mode nobody writes down because it's embarrassing rather than interesting. This is where I'm going to keep those.
Three kinds of writing will end up here.
Architectures from the agentic world. How these systems are actually put together once they have to survive contact with real traffic — orchestration, state, the places where handing control to a model helps and the places where it quietly ruins your ability to debug anything.
What operating something teaches you. Running a system is a different education from building one. Most of what I know about reliability, cost, and scope I learned after shipping, not before.
Building riteangle. I'm building a dating app. It is the most instructive project I have worked on, partly because the hard problems are not the technical ones. I'll write about that honestly, including the parts that didn't work.
No schedule, no newsletter, no growth plan. When I have something worth keeping, it goes here.
